Having graduated in chemistry, Katsuhisa Ozeki began working for Fuji Film and had engaged in research and development of photographic film for more than 30 years. After retiring from Fuji, he joined National Film Center The National Museum of Modern Art (presently known as the National Film Archive of Japan) and is involved in a research project concerning various archival problems around digital cinema. He is also a designated project professor of Nagoya Univ. involved in the development of photosensitive emulsion and film for detecting fundamental particles.
